About
Chicagoland born and raised, Anna Rose began her career in theatre by watching her mother perform.
The fun after-school activity her mom passed down soon became a passion that has never left her and has only grown stronger as the years have progressed.
She graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance. She had the opportunity to participate in many wonderful productions, some highlights being Once as Reza and Henry IV Part 1 as Poins.
She was also able to study in London at the British American Drama Academy, focusing on Shakespeare and Restoration comedy.
Post-grad, she participated in the California State University Summer Arts program, working with Second City teachers focusing on Sketch comedy, and then with Shakespeare and Company.
Now back in Chicago, she has eagerly dived headfirst into the theatre scene, with recent post-grad credits including Hell in a Handbag’s The Real Housewives of the North Pole, MadKap Productions’ A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and The Home Creative Company’s Heathers.
In addition to onstage work, she also had experience as a model as well as a playwright/author. She has been published with her short-form poetry and prose and has had two of her short plays produced as staged readings.
When not acting, Anna Rose can be found reading a book from her extensive library, studying Greek mythology, playing the guitar, or attending various trivia nights with friends.
